October 07, 2005 WOHOO. Holland Village rules. It is sooo not like Singapore.
Anyway, I went to "work" and saw a promoter there so I called Jen and found out I'm not supposed to work today. So I called lin up and decided to go out with her. So I bought this "Anything too stupid to be said is sung" shirt at Four Leaves. Went to Bishan and walked to lin's house. Went with her to her poly to pay for her Japanese course fees. [I didn't want to go to the school at first but on the way I decided to go Holland V] So we asked around but nobody seems to know how to go there. Then we just went on this bus and asked the driver. He told us to cross the road. And we took the same bus, we guessed it was correct since it said Holland Road. The bus driver told us he will inform us when we reach, unfortunately, we saw this crowded place and then "EHH, FOS FOS!" Then we asked the driver and he told us it was a stop before and we had to cross the road and take a bus back. We couldn't find any way to cross the road so we just walked backwards, it's like.. further than from Bishan MRT to lin's house. But we managed to reach there alive. Lin "Tanning under the hot sun"
The first stop we decided to go was a magic shop, the shop at the corner. Lots of stuff inside. I bought sweets, and more sweets. And this dracula teeth that glows in the dark and WORMS. Yah, edible. Havn't seen that in a long time.
Then we went to another store nearby, bought 6 star lollipops.
Walked in alot of pet shops. I've never seen PUPPIES and KITTENS that were soo small in size. So cute.
Stopped by Burger King. The service really sucks. "What drinks do you have?" The girl just turns and uses hand to point. Plus her eyes give some whatever look. Urgh.
Then we walked into this bead shop or something, lots of DIY stuff inside. "You can approach us if you need any help." This is enough to make a customer want to buy something before leaving. Anyway, I bought $9 worth of stuff there. `connectors, `hooks `dead end hooks `fisherman string `earring stuff Lin bought about $8+ `rings `beads `hooks `dead end hooks. I don't know their actual names. Anyway I can't seem to find the earring stand people were talking about in forums. The ones there are like $30 to $60+
Then we went to Factory Outlet Store and we both fell in love with this hood. White in colour, orange available. Surf something. There's a word party there. $14.90. We love.
Then we walked back to the Cold Storage building and we took the lift up. I screamed when it took off. Super scary. We decided to go 4th floor but it wasn't shopping area, so I was quite I don't know what at that time and took the lift to 3rd story. It dropped a little. We planned never to take the lift again. So throughout the rest of the building, we used stairs. Alot of beads stuff there. Bought 50grams of sequins for $2.50.
And when lin asked for the price of a bag in one of the stores, the reply was "Twenty something" Yah like. Crap. And other stores only seem to ask "Do you need any help?" to the Americans, etc.
Can't remember what other shops were there.
Ate Katong Laksa. The guy asked if we wanted Hum and I said yes unknowingly. By the time we went back he was cooking the stuff, but he allowed us to take them out. So very kind. =))
Walked in to Watsons to ask directions to Orchard. On the way there we saw Tanglin Mall and another building beside it. Ohhhh. I so want to go there. My furthest discovery in Orchard is Tanglin Shopping Centre, where my mum use to work. Muahaha.
We Marina Bay-ed home. And we planned alot of places to go. Singapore isn't as boring as it seems. Places we want to go. Not in order of preference. `Holland Village `Mandai Zoo `Ikea & Queensway `Little India `Chinatown `Sun Plaza `Tampines Mall `Tanglin Mall `Centrepoint `Airport `Farrer Park [old coffeeshop and Bah Ku Teh] `Novena [United Sq and Novena Sq] `Beach road `Parkway Parade `Jurong [Ice skating] `Newton Circus `Ubin
Okay many more but I forgot. Recommend me any nice place you know of. Thank you. At least no more boring Towning for the next month or so.
We're so very much like tourists today. So in total I spent $33.15 excluding transport. But I'm a happy girl. xD I need a bath. =x Off for now.
